Key Details
Three drawers, no superfluous elements, and a detail that largely defines the cabinet's character: the thin, shaped handles follow the front with a slightly curved line, almost disappearing into the surface when the nightstand is viewed from the front.
Teak covers the compact body of the cabinet, showing particularly prominent grain on the drawers, each with a slightly different pattern. The top surface remains completely clear, offering the necessary space for a lamp, some books, and items you wish to keep by your bed.
The tapered legs lift the volume off the ground and create an interesting contrast with the upper part, which is fuller and more capacious. This is a typical construction method of 1960s mid-century Scandinavian design: concentrating function in a compact volume and lightening the lower part.
Originally designed as a nightstand, it can easily be used outside the bedroom. Next to a sofa or armchair, it becomes a small side cabinet with the not insignificant advantage of having three drawers available.
