Key Details
Designed by Giancarlo Mattioli for Artemide, the Nessino is one of the most recognizable lamps in Italian design. Introduced as an evolution of the famous Nesso, it retains the unmistakable mushroom silhouette that made the Space Age aesthetic iconic, reinterpreting it in a compact version suitable for domestic environments.
The hemispherical diffuser distributes light downwards softly and evenly, creating a welcoming atmosphere on a bedside table, desk, or sideboard. The glossy yellow finish further enhances the continuous lines of the lamp, transforming it into a piece of furniture capable of attracting attention even when switched off.
Produced by Artemide in Italy, the Nessino continues to represent one of the most recognizable symbols of 20th-century design, appreciated for its balance of formal research, functionality, and character.
