Key Details
The bar stools designed by Harry Bertoia stemmed from the idea of using metal not merely as a structure, but as a material capable of shaping space. When viewed from the front, they almost resemble a geometric grid; moving sideways, however, they completely change appearance. It is probably this continuous transformation that makes them so interesting even today.
The welded metal wire structure creates an open and almost transparent volume, which maintains a strong presence without becoming visually heavy. Bertoia often described his work with metal as a search for form and space rather than the material itself, and these stools illustrate this very well.
The seat cushion, on the other hand, introduces a more tactile and domestic contrast. The orange hue adds depth to the metal structure.
Around a counter, a kitchen island, or in a hospitality space, they add rhythm, transparency, and visual movement. Available in five pieces, they can be purchased individually (the price shown is for a single stool) or freely arranged in sets.
