Key Details
Almost two meters long, but with a raised structure that prevents the piece from looking heavy. This 1960s teak sideboard develops all its storage capacity horizontally, leaving its tall, tapered legs to lighten the profile.
The front is arranged asymmetrically: on the left, four stacked drawers, recognizable by their long, shaped wooden handles; the rest of the space is dedicated to larger compartments closed by doors. A practical subdivision for organizing items of different sizes and uses within the same piece of furniture, from table linens to tableware, books, or documents.
The teak maintains a warm and rather uniform tone, while the handles, edges, and legs introduce subtle shifts in depth that bring movement to an otherwise essential front. The long, clear top also becomes a useful surface in the room: it can hold a lamp, ceramics, books, or a piece of art without sacrificing storage functionality.
It is the kind of piece that explains well why large mid-century sideboards continue to find space in contemporary interiors: spacious, usable in the living room or dining room, and simple enough to coexist with furnishings from different eras.
