Key Details
Stonehill's production holds a significant place in the post-war British furniture landscape, thanks to a rare ability to combine domestic practicality and construction quality. This 1960s teak sideboard is a representative example, designed to offer ample storage space through an orderly and well-organized composition.
Attention is focused on the design of the fronts, where the grain of the teak follows the horizontal development of the piece, creating visual continuity. The surface acquires depth and character thanks to the natural variations of the wood, an element that continues to make these furnishings particularly appreciated in European modern antiques.
The combination of doors and drawers allows for organizing objects of different sizes while keeping the environment tidy. It is a solution born for the dining room but which today easily finds its place in contemporary living rooms, studies, or multifunctional environments.
Paired with Scandinavian seating, vintage lighting, or mid-century accessories, it helps create layered and personal interiors, without sacrificing the functionality that made 1960s furniture famous.
