Key Details
Round teak coffee table designed by Holger Georg Jensen for Kubus, an expression of mid-century Danish design. It is primarily characterized by the craftsmanship of the tabletop, where the wood grain follows different directions, creating a geometric pattern that emerges naturally from the surface.
The top features a thin edge and a warm hue, with shades that vary depending on the orientation of the grain. The composition of the veneer introduces a discreet decorative element, enhancing the characteristics of the teak without resorting to inlays or additional materials.
The tapered legs, slightly angled outwards, support the top while leaving the lower part of the table open. The structure echoes a recurring solution in Scandinavian modernism, where constructive simplicity is accompanied by a particular attention to woodworking.
Thanks to its circular shape, the coffee table is suitable for placement next to an armchair, between two seats, or in the center of a small conversation area. The design of the top also makes it interesting when viewed from above, while its compact dimensions allow it to be easily integrated into living rooms and environments of all kinds.
