STØV, in Danish, means dust. For many, dust is just something to get rid of, but for us, it's a sign of passing time, the scent of North European attics, the veil that holds a story waiting to be rediscovered and retold.

This is how we were born: with a soft spot for the clean lines of Scandinavian design, a visceral passion for vintage modern furniture, and a deep desire to bring the authentic, warm, and welcoming atmosphere of Nordic countries into your homes.

We personally select, one by one and with immense love, original furniture from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Unique pieces made of teak, oak, or rosewood that exude Danish tradition and which, besides being purchased to redefine your spaces, are also available for rental (for photo shoots, events, or productions).

Who are the people behind STØV?

Behind STØV are two main souls, Paolo and Chiara. We are the ones who lead the journeys to Northern Europe, shake hands with old owners in Denmark, select the pieces that make our hearts beat, and curate the vision of this project.

But the truth is, behind every piece of furniture photographed on the website, every protected shipment, every carefully curated detail, there are many dear people. Artisans, restorers, friends, and collaborators who every single day contribute with their talent, their hands, and their hearts to build, piece by piece, what we love to call Casa STØV. It is thanks to this wonderful synergy that we are able to take care of the wood and the history of each piece of furniture, directly handling their conservative restoration in our workshop.

What started as a small dream in Turin has evolved over time. Today, our reality has grown, and Casa STØV awaits you in 3 unique showrooms in Italy, spaces designed not only to display furniture but to let you breathe and experience authentic Mid-Century design firsthand.

• Turin, the historic Showroom & Workshop (Docks Dora): Our pulsating heart of approximately 680 sq m, located within the evocative and eclectic setting of Docks Dora at Via Valprato 68. This is also where the magic of restoration happens.

• Florence, the Tuscan space: A corner of Northern Europe in the heart of Tuscany, at Via di Collodi 10. An intimate and carefully curated space where you can be inspired by the warm shades of teak and rosewood.

  • Hours: Monday and Wednesday open from 09:00 AM to 02:00 PM, Saturday from 11:00 AM to 05:00 PM | Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday by appointment.

• Treviso, our extension in Veneto: Located at Via di San Pelaio 179, this showroom was born from the beautiful synergy with Alessandra and David (ULV Nordic Design), two dear members of our team, who share our same visceral passion for wood and vintage stories.
