Key Details
A 1960s Danish serving trolley, produced by Sika Møbler, that concentrates various uses into a compact structure. Crafted from teak, it features a top surface with side handles, an integrated drawer, and a lower shelf, all supported by four casters that make it easy to move.
The most distinctive element is the design of the side supports, made of bentwood and connected to the upper handles. Their rounded shape follows the profile of the piece, creating an interesting contrast with the rectangular surfaces of the shelves. The teak exhibits warm tones and natural grain, while the drawer, located immediately below the main top, offers discreet storage space.
The layout of the elements is designed to make both surfaces accessible. The lower shelf can accommodate bottles, glasses, or other items, leaving the top free for serving. The drawer, meanwhile, allows for the storage of small accessories, such as coasters and napkins. A configuration that reflects the attention of mid-twentieth-century Scandinavian design to furnishings intended for domestic life.
Thanks to its compact dimensions, this trolley can be used as a bar cart, a side table next to the sofa, or as an accent piece in a dining area.
