Key Details
This chest of drawers by Henning Kjærnulf is tall, with six large drawers that occupy almost the entire front. The compact structure provides good storage capacity within an 85 cm width, making it easy to place even where wall space is limited.
The drawers are all the same width and form a regular facade, punctuated by circular handles placed on the sides. The teak grain runs across the different fronts with natural variations in tone and pattern, adding movement to the furniture's surface.
The raised base and slender legs lift the chest of drawers body off the floor, while the slightly bevelled corners soften its profile. These are discreet details, leaving the main role to the teak and the succession of drawers.
Designed by Henning Kjærnulf, it is an example of 1960s mid-century Danish design intended for everyday use. It can be used in the bedroom, but also in an entryway, a study, or the living room: six drawers offer space to organize different items, while the top surface remains available for a lamp, a mirror, or other elements.
