Key Details
Designed by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in 1963, the Orient is one of the most representative pendant lamps in Danish design. Its soft and harmonious silhouette highlights the dialogue between copper and the teak top detail, creating an object that combines constructive precision with material warmth.
The inside of the shade is designed to distribute light evenly downwards, making it particularly suitable above a dining table, kitchen island, or work surface. The copper finish gains character over time, developing a patina that makes each piece unique.
Even today, the Orient is appreciated for its ability to fit naturally into both contemporary interiors and environments dedicated to vintage design. A project that perfectly balances material quality and the essentiality of Scandinavian design.
