Key Details
In Arne Vodder's production, comfort is never separated from form, and this pair of armchairs is an excellent example of this. The teak frame maintains the lightness typical of 1960s Danish design, while the wide and well-padded seat introduces a more relaxed and welcoming dimension.
Observing them closely, one can see how the wood does not only serve a structural function. The profiles continuously follow the seat, defining the character of the design and contributing to that sense of balance that made Arne Vodder one of the protagonists of Scandinavian modernism.
The warm green upholstery particularly complements the teak. It is neither a bright nor a too dark shade, but a soft and deep color that enhances the wood and makes the armchairs easily integrated into both contemporary and more classic environments.
Used as a pair in a living room, a reading area, or a conversation space, they retain that quality typical of the best Danish furniture of the 1960s: being comfortable, functional, and wonderful to behold even when not in use.
