Key Details
Set of four vintage Danish model 1255 chairs by Kjaernulf, dating back to the 1960s. The wooden frame features a distinctive trestle construction, with angled uprights that support the curved backrest and define the chairs' profile.
The slightly enveloping backrest is made from a continuous wooden element in a darker tone than the frame. The upholstered seats are covered in charcoal grey fabric, characterized by an irregular weave with small light-colored flecks that add texture to the surface.
The open construction leaves space between the seat and backrest, lightening the visual presence of the chairs around the table. The rounded joints and angled legs are characteristic details of woodworking in mid-twentieth-century Danish design.
Designed for the dining area, these chairs can accompany a vintage teak table or create an interesting contrast with more contemporary materials. The dark upholstery and warm wood tones allow them to be easily integrated into various settings, while keeping the original character of the design recognizable.
