Key Details
The vertical form changes how a sideboard occupies space. This 1960s teak cabinet develops the traditional concept of a sideboard upwards, offering remarkable storage capacity without requiring a large floor area. A particularly interesting solution for rooms where space must be organized carefully.
Teak defines the entire structure through a surface rich in grain and warm tones. The wood is not used as a simple veneer but becomes an essential part of the piece's identity, following a sober construction where attention is focused on functionality and quality of craftsmanship.
The vertical design allows for the organization of different types of objects while keeping the lower level free and easily accessible. The structure can find a place in a living room, dining room, or study, where it can be used for books, ceramics, documents, dinnerware, or decorative objects.
With its slender proportions, this sideboard introduces an element of character without visually weighing down the room. An example of Danish modernism where storage function is reinterpreted through a more vertical solution, still suitable today for contemporary interiors and mid-century style compositions.
