Key Details
The rounded frame is the defining detail of this Dyrlund sideboard. It runs along the entire perimeter of the front and encloses the two large teak doors, creating continuity between the top, sides, and bottom of the cabinet. In the center, two small wooden handles are practically the only interruption on the surface.
Once opened, the cabinet reveals an interior organized into three sections. On the sides are two spacious compartments with shelves, while in the center five smaller drawers allow for separate organization of items and accessories. At the back of the right compartment, there is also a cable opening, a detail that expands the sideboard's usability.
The internal distribution makes it particularly versatile: it can be used in the dining area for dishes, glasses, and textiles, or in the living room for books, documents, devices, and other objects. With a width of 190 cm, the top also offers a generous surface for lamps, ceramics, artworks, and objects chosen to be displayed.
Produced by Dyrlund, it is a mid-century Danish design piece where teak and the rounded craftsmanship of the structure define the exterior, while inside a very careful design for daily use emerges. A spacious and well-organized 1960s vintage furniture piece, designed to accommodate various functions behind an extremely clean front.
