Key Details
This rosewood sideboard is a design by Erling Torvits for Klim Møbelfabrik, crafted in Denmark during the 1960s. Its horizontal structure and generous dimensions make it a piece designed to offer ample storage while maintaining an orderly presence in the room.
Rosewood is the centerpiece of this piece, with its natural grain and chromatic variations characterizing every surface. The choice of material, combined with its essential construction, conveys the refined language of Mid-Century Danish design without resorting to superfluous decorative elements.
At 150 cm wide, it can be used as a dining room sideboard, a storage unit in the living room, or as a display piece along a wall. Its slim 38 cm depth also allows it to be easily placed in smaller spaces.
A significant example of Erling Torvits' work and Klim Møbelfabrik's production, where the quality of the wood and the functionality of the furniture define a piece of Scandinavian modernism that remains timeless.
