Teak sideboard with sliding doors

The movement of the doors defines the character of this Danish sideboard from the 1960s. The sliding system allows access to the compartments without altering the overall footprint of the furniture, a simple yet particularly effective solution that reflects Scandinavian design's focus on daily use.

Teak covers the entire surface and becomes a fundamental part of the design. The natural grain follows the horizontal development of the furniture, while the warm tones of the wood emphasize its depth. The absence of applied decorative elements highlights the quality of the craftsmanship and gives the furniture a measured appearance, typical of Danish modernism.

Behind the sliding doors, the storage space unfolds, designed to organize everyday objects while maintaining a visually tidy front. The top surface, on the other hand, can be used for books, lamps, ceramics, or other decorative elements, transforming the sideboard into a functional focal point within the room.

Its relatively compact dimensions facilitate its placement in various environments: living room, dining room, hallway, or study. A piece of furniture created to meet the practical needs of the 1960s and still perfectly legible in contemporary interiors, thanks to the combination of teak, functionality, and essential construction.
